There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. This principle is contempt prior to examination. – Herbert Spencer

I recommend the book Skip the Line by James Altucher. It's similar to The Almanack of Naval Ravikant. A guide to wealth and success.

In this video, Dave Lee talks about the three "S-curves" of Tesla motors: Electric vehicles, full self driving, and humanoid robots.

Joe Brown explains why pensions are screwed: The government will have to use deficit spending to pay for pensions. This will lead to increases in inflation, reducing the real dollar amount that people with pensions will recieve.

This is an interesting video on the making of the book and movie Fight Club.

This is the best quote that I got from the book:

“Get rid of him,” Tyler tells me. “He’s too young.”
I ask how young is too young?
“It doesn’t matter,” Tyler says. “If the applicant is young, we tell him he’s too young. If he’s fat, he’s too fat. If he’s old, he’s too old.
Thin, he’s too thin. White, he’s too white. Black, he’s too black.”
This is how Buddhist temples have tested applicants going back for bahzillion years, Tyler says. You tell the applicant to go away, and if his resolve is so strong that he waits at the entrance without food or shelter or encouragement for three days, then and only then can he enter and begin the training.” – Chuck Palahniuk

We all think that we are either too young or too old to start something. When is the perfect time? There is no perfect time. Start as early as possible.

The second (bolded) part is even more interesting to me. You need to have the resolve to chase your dreams no matter what – even if you get no food, shelter, or encouragement. The people who succeed are the people who are not easily dissuaded.
